SUOB: SACRED STEAM CLEANSE RITUAL
Suob is a traditional Filipinx cleansing ritual that uses fresh aromatic herbs, usually those with cleansing and healing properties like oregano, ginger, and lemon grass. Suob enhances the cure of many ailments, with excellent healing attributes for respiratory troubles like bronchitis, asthma, and allergies.
WHAT IS SUOB: SACRED STEAM CLEANSE RITUAL?
Suob (SUE-ohb) has been utilized in various Filipino ethnic groups to drive away elements of illnesses (physical, mental, or spiritual) by boiling a concoction of customized herbs and flowers and letting the therapeutic mixture vaporize inside a large thick blanket that envelops the body.
The therapeutic steam increases blood circulation, fat metabolism and detoxification. It nourishes the skin and makes it supple. Suob has a soothing quality for the breathing passages, since it raises the moisture level in the lungs, throat and nose. People that suffer from problems of asthma or the common cold will find they feel much better after indulging in Suob.
WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE?
When you come in, we'll sit together and talk about your intentions for the Suob ritual. Once I have a full understanding of your needs, I'll leave the room so you can undress privately, and you'll wear a robe or towel, sit on a chair, and wait for me to return. While you're getting prepared, I will be preparing a customized herb blend using fresh and dried medicinal plants and herbs that will assist with your sacred cleansing ritual. While you're waiting, you'll focus on some breathing exercises while listening to music to physically, mentally, and spiritually prepare you for the ritual.

Each client is unique, and depending on what we discuss in the beginning of our session, I may also use (but not limited to) vibrational sounds (music, crystal singing bowls, and/or musical instruments), and shamanic healing. During the ritual, I will sing traditional Filipinx songs of prayer and affirmation.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?
The actual Suob ritual is approximately 45-50 minutes. You can expect to meet with me for 90 minutes total, which allows time for preparation and discussion at the beginning, and integration at the end of the session.

CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING
You must notify me within 48 hours of a scheduled appointment to reschedule. A $25.00 fee may apply for rescheduling, as others could have used the time slot. If you fail to arrive for an in-person session, you have the option to reschedule - however you will be charged in full for the missed appointment.
