QIGONG: MOVING MEDITATION
If you have ever watched someone moving slowly and gracefully in a park — flowing through gentle, intentional movements that look almost like a dance — you have seen Qigong. What you may not have known is that those movements are medicine. Ancient, practiced, and profoundly effective medicine for the body, mind, and spirit.
EVERY TUESDAY EVENING
6:00 - 7:15 PM

WITH MARK HASWELL
MEET MARK HASWELL
This class is led by Mark Haswell — my husband, co-owner of Kapwa Wellness, and the steady, grounding presence at the heart of our Tuesday evenings. A longtime student of Zen Buddhism and various aspects of spirituality, Mark is a Qigong practitioner and teacher with over ten years of experience.
Mark found Qigong on his own path to clarity, awareness, and calmness — and has been sharing it with others ever since. He taught Qigong at our previous location for ten years, and his classes reflect everything he has learned along the way: patience, warmth, and a genuine belief that this practice is accessible to everyone.
When you walk into Mark's class, you are welcomed — no matter your experience level, no matter where you are in your life. His teaching style is lighthearted and encouraging, his knowledge runs deep, and his love for this practice is felt in every movement he guides you through.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS
Every Tuesday evening begins with a Dharma talk — a short, thoughtful teaching from Mark that sets the tone for the practice ahead. These talks are grounding, accessible, and often exactly what you needed to hear that day.
From there, Mark guides you through the Qigong movements — slow, flowing, and adaptable to all bodies and experience levels. He moves through the room, welcomes questions, and makes sure every student feels seen and supported.
Class closes with a guided meditation — a quiet settling that allows everything you've practiced to integrate before you step back into the world.
You will leave feeling clearer, calmer, and more at home in your body than when you arrived.
